IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT

In light of the increasing concern over the COVID-19 we’re now faced with a situation none of us would have likely imagined even a few short weeks ago:

–  On March 14th NC Governor Roy Cooper – by executive order 117; banned all mass gatherings that exceed 100 people.
–  On March 16 the NCDHHS  issued a recommendation that mass gatherings greater than 50 people be postponed for 8 weeks.
–  On March 16th President Trump issued The President’s Coronavirus Guidelines for America – asking for a 15 day voluntary avoidance of social gatherings more than 10 people.

These facts require some hard decisions:

After consultation and prayer with our leadership team – we’ve decided to suspend all services, gatherings, and meetings at Calvary Chapel Elizabeth City until further notice. We believe that it is prudent and wise to join in the effort to fight this pandemic even though we seem to be distant from the “hotspots” we’ve all been seeing on TV and social media.

So now what?  – Good news of course: God is is still in control and we are still His bride: the church. I’ve decided to continue to teach through our current study in 2 Corinthians  via the internet on Facebook Live.  Visit our page on Facebook , click here

You can also visit our website (Click here) to listen to our message including previously recorded sermons.

Meanwhile; we’re all certainly going to be inconvenienced, feeling isolated, bored, fearful, ect. These are normal and expected results – but as Christians we’re also being given a wonderful opportunity to show the love of Christ to our loved ones, co-workers, neighbors, and anyone God places in our path.

Let’s remember our great calling through the words of the apostle Paul:

2 Corinthians 4:6-9 NKJV – For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.8 [We are] hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; [we are] perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed–

In His Living Hope!
